Birk's Hall, Exeter
We are proud to announce that we have secured the contract for the supply and installation of fitted furniture and associated loose goods for Cowlin Construction at the University of Exeter.
This is the second project that Cowlin Construction has been awarded with University Partnerships Programme Limited (UPP), the first being the £31 million development of student accommodation and academic buildings for the University of Plymouth, part of a 5-year framework, which completed in 2008. Rosehill were the appointed FF & E contractor and received high praise from the Cowlin management. Rosehill also collaborated with Cowlin on a 250 bedroom Brunel Close, Exeter project in 2008.
University of Exeter is one of a series of projects which UPP have with Universities across the country to improve and increase accommodation stock and release capital for academic use. Since its inception in 1998 UPP have invested over £1 billion in higher education student accommodation programmes with a further £1 billion planned in the next 4 years.
Located at The University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus, enabling works are already underway with completion anticipated late 2012. The development will involve new-build and complete fit out of 477 studios, 1,471 en-suite bedrooms and 180 kitchens across Birks Hall, Lafrowda, Duryard and Rowe blocks. Rosehill's package is due to start in May this year.
